Yes. SkyBuds is kidSAFE Listed, an earned third-party certification for children's digital products. Our COPPA compliance work is in progress, not a finished certification, and we say that here plainly rather than let a claim outrun the facts. No generative AI product for kids can promise zero risk, and we won't claim that either. SkyBuds holds kidSAFE Listed status. kidSAFE is a third-party program that reviews children's digital products against child safety and privacy criteria before a company can use its seal. This is a checked step, not a claim we made about ourselves. It is separate from COPPA, and kidSAFE is not a government-recognized COPPA Safe Harbor. Listed status speaks to what kidSAFE reviewed, not to every question a parent might ask.

A parent dashboard

SkyBuds is a talking plush, not a tablet or a device with a display. Your child interacts with it by voice, not by looking at a screen.

What we won't claim

Most product pages skip this part. A few things are true of SkyBuds because they're true of any generative AI toy in this category right now, not because SkyBuds falls short of some standard a competitor meets:

• Content filtering isn't perfect, industry-wide. Generative AI systems can produce an unexpected response. Filtering reduces this; it doesn't eliminate it for any product in this category.
• Talking to SkyBuds involves some data processing to work. A voice AI companion has to process what your child says in order to respond. What happens to that data next, how long it's kept, and how you can review or delete it, is exactly what the privacy policy covers, and it's worth reading rather than assumed.
• COPPA compliance work is in progress, not finished. We are not COPPA certified today, and we're not going to phrase it as if we were. kidSAFE Listed status is real and separate from this. When there's an update to share on COPPA, it will be reflected on the privacy policy page, not buried in old marketing copy.
